Visited from out of town and figured this would be a fun meal. Goat with rice was recommended by other reviews so I went for it. Delicious! I also got some kind of bean mix and some sambusas. The guy there was very nice and hooked me up with tons of food.

The greatest goat meat I've ever had the pleasure of tasting, not to mention the deliciously seasoned rice. Only 10 for a meal you may only finish if you're very hungry. Unique environment, as well as a grocery store with some of my favourite beverages. Very friendly people too. I look forward to returning. I highly recommend the rice/meat based dishes if you have celiac, as I personally encountered no problems.

Went here on a whim and was incredibly surprised. It seems like a "hole in the wall" when you first walk in, and there's the restaurant on the right-hand side and a grocery store on the left. I ordered Lamb with Rice, and for 10 there was a very generous amount of both lamb and rice, along with lime and a banana. Certainly worth the money. The lamb exceeded all expectations, and was perhaps some of the best meat I have ever had, especially within the Mankato area. The grocery store has many "foreign" delicacies, such as Vimto soda and imported tea, among many other things. The service was great; the two men there were very pleasent, helpful, and conversational. I will for sure be returning many times into the future!

I recently moved to the Mankato area from Fargo, and was missing the great East African and Somali food we had up there. Well, this restaurant doesn’t disappoint. The staff were friendly (the older gentleman was great) and the prices aren’t bad given the amount of food you get. Two people could split a plate with two drinks and not go hungry. The environment is not fancy but it’s sectioned off in a small market/grocery store.
